Recognized by Other Associations

The Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) and the Society of Clinical Research Associates (SoCRA) recognize BRN continuing education units.

These continuing education credits are available to RNs and may be applied to ACRP and SoCRA members seeking recertification.

ACRP> CCRAs and CCRCs must maintain their certification every two years from the time of original certification. The ACRP requires the completion of 24 documented continuing education contact hours, with at least 12 of those hours being in clinical research topics.

SoCRA > Recertification is required every three years and candidates
1) must have completed 45 hours of Continuing Education applicable to their work in clinical research during the current three years of certification, and 2) must successfully complete a self-administered knowledge test that will be included with the three-year recertification reminder package.
